David A. Ajibade, MD

Dr. David Ajibade, MD, FAAOS, FACS is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in shoulder and elbow surgery, sports medicine, and joint replacement surgery. Dr. Ajibade completed fellowships in both Sports Medicine at the University of Missouri in Columbia (Mizzou) and Shoulder and Elbow Adult Reconstruction at Beaumont Health in Royal Oak, Michigan. He served as a team physician during training for the Miami Marlins baseball team (MLB) and the University of Missouri Tigers (NCAA Division I, SEC) football, basketball, baseball, softball, track and field, cross-country, gymnastics, soccer, volleyball, wrestling, tennis, swimming, golf, and cheerleading teams.
Dr. Ajibade promotes the advancement of his field through active membership in the American Shoulder and Elbow Society, Arthroscopy Association of North America, American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, and American College of Surgeons. His research on shoulder arthroplasty, anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction, platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy for football injuries, and hip trauma has been published in peer-reviewed scholarly journals and presented at orthopaedic meetings. He reviews articles for the Journal of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Seminars for Arthroplasty: Journal of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery, and the American Journal of Sports Medicine.
