Dr. Dixon completed his Ph.D. in 2001 and his M.D. in 2002 at Duke University. His post-graduate training included a residency and post-doctoral fellowship in General Pediatrics, Pediatric Infectious Diseases, and Clinical Microbiology at Duke University Medical Center. He is currently an Clinical Associate Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Infectious Diseases and is Director of Ambulatory Pediatric Infectious Diseases clinics and is developing MUSC's Pediatric Transplant ID service.
