He completed his Transplant Nephrology Fellowship at Albert Einstein Healthcare Network in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Before this, he pursued a Nephrology Fellowship at MU Healthcare, University of Missouri.

Dr. Azeem's academic achievements include obtaining certifications from esteemed institutions such as the Fellowship College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan, Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in the UK( I-II), and ECFMG certification. He is also actively involved in research, contributing to projects focusing on kidney transplantation outcomes and renal care protocols. He also contributed two book chapters on "Plasmapheresis" and "Renal replacement therapy" in a book on Neurocritical care protocols recently published by Springer group.
