Dr. Smarika Shrestha is a respected thoracic surgeon at MUSC Health Florence Medical Center. She combines her extensive training and compassionate care to help her patients.
Dr. Shrestha received her medical degree from Dalhousie University, followed by a General Surgery Residency at West Virginia University. She further specialized with a Thoracic Surgery Residency at Penn State Health Milton S. Hershey Medical Center. Dr. Shrestha is board-certified in both general and thoracic surgery.
Her commitment to education extends beyond her practice; she is an ATLS Instructor, sharing her knowledge with the next generation of surgeons. Dr. Shrestha's dedication to excellence has been recognized with several awards, including the Moncton Hospital Hero Award.
