Dr. William Basco has been a general pediatrician and pediatric hospitalist at the MUSC Health Children's Hospital since 1997. The majority of his clinical activities are on the pediatric hospitalist service, caring for hospitalized children at Sean Jenkins Children's Hospital. However, he also supervises pediatric trainees in the University Pediatrics - Rutledge Tower location and the Level 1 newborn nursery. His research interests include medication errors in children, particularly errors involving opioid medications.
