Dr. Regan Stewart is a clinical psychologist and an assistant professor in the Mental Health Disparities and Diversity Program in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at MUSC. She received her doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Mississippi and completed her clinical internship and postdoctoral fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina. Her research focuses on the impact of traumatic stress on children and families and addressing mental health disparities among underserved, trauma-exposed youth, particularly through the use of telehealth technology. Her clinical work focuses on the use of cognitive-behavioral therapies for posttraumatic stress disorder, with a particular focus on child and adolescent populations. Dr. Stewart is fluent in Spanish.
