Nancy Lilly Hagood, MD
Dr. Nancy Hagood is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hospital Medicine. Dr. Hagood graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Economics from Georgetown University, where she was a two-time All-American and Captain of the Varsity Sailing Team. She then returned to her hometown of Charleston to complete her medical degree at MUSC. During medical school, she served on the University Honor Council and was the recipient of the Charles H. Banov, M.D. Humanitarian Award. She went on to complete a combined residency program in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at MUSC and served as chief resident. Her teaching and research interests include quality improvement, point-of-care ultrasound, global health, and sustainable capacity development.
