Dr. Mohney is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopedics and Physical Medicine at MUSC. She received her medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine – Bradenton, FL followed by residency at University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences and fellowship training in traumatic brain injury/polytrauma at the South Texas Veterans Health Care System in San Antonio, TX. Prior to embarking on her physician career, she earned a Master of Science in Exercise Physiology from the University of Kentucky. Dr. Mohney is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation with subspecialty certification in Brain Injury Medicine. Her clinical area of interest includes spasticity management and acquired brain injury. Throughout her career, she has worked to provide education within the general public and medical community to improve awareness and create an environment that leads to optimal outcomes and imparts a positive impact on traumatic brain injury survivors. In addition to patient care, Dr. Mohney is actively involved in educational programming to help inspire the next generation of physiatrists to cultivate meaningful and excellent careers.
