Laura Kay Lybarger, DNP, APRN, FNP-C

Laura Lybarger, FNP-C, MSN is a family nurse practitioner that has her certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She graduated in 2004 from Mercy Hospital School of Nursing and then went on to receive her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Waynesburg University in 2006. As a registered nurse, she spent most of her career working in the intensive care setting. In 2012 she received her Master in Nursing from Duquesne University while working in family medicine and palliative care. She moved from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Charleston, SC in 2017 where she has been working in internal medicine and adult sickle cell clinic. Laura recently finished her Doctorate of Nursing at the Medical University of South Carolina, and she enjoys precepting nurse practitioner students. Her areas of interest include wellness and prevention, women's health, and acute and chronic medical conditions. She enjoys seeing patients across the life span starting at age 10 through geriatrics.
