Jennifer Schmidt, M.D.

Dr. Jen Schmidt is a board-certified rheumatologist. She earned her medical degree from University of Maryland School of Medicine in 2016 and went on to complete her 3-year internal medicine residency as well as a chief year at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC). Dr. Schmidt completed a fellowship in rheumatology at MUSC in 2022.

After fellowship, Dr. Schmidt was an Instructor in Division of Rheumatology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine from 2022-2023 prior to returning back to MUSC. Her expertise is managing patients with systemic connective tissue diseases, including lupus, scleroderma, myositis, and inflammatory arthritis.
