David Brian Haver, Jr, PsyD, MPH
D. Brian Haver is a clinical psychologist with extensive specialization in clinical health psychology. He received his doctor of psychology (PsyD) degree in clinical psychology from Mercer University in Atlanta, GA, along with master's degrees in clinical health psychology and public health. He completed a predoctoral internship in health psychology at Henry Ford Health Systems in Detroit, Michigan, with rotations in transplant surgery, internal medicine/primary care, and outpatient mental health. He then completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Behavioral Medicine at MUSC, with an additional year of specialization in the evaluation and treatment of patients in the organ transplant process. ,After Dr. Haver's experience as a postdoc at MUSC, he enthusiastically joined the faculty as an instructor to continue his clinical work. Dr. Haver is currently seeing patients in the Division of BioBehavioral Medicine. He conducts presurgical evaluations for spinal surgeries and solid organ transplants. He works with patients who are experiencing various medical conditions, such as end-stage organ disease, to assist them with adjusting to chronic illness
