Christina Frances Tolbert, MD
Christina Tolbert is an assistant professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. Dr. Tolbert received her BA in Psychology from Middlebury College in 2005 and her M.D. from Ross University School of Medicine in 2013. She completed her internship, residency, and child and adolescent fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2018. From 2016–2018 at the National Crime Victims Research & Treatment Center at MUSC, Dr. Tolbert gained experience with trauma exposure, PTSD, and economic and racial diversity in youth. She has also earned the American Academy of Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (AACAP) Pilot Research Award (supported by Pfizer, Inc.).Dr. Tolbert is currently working with both adults and children through the MUSC telepsychiatry program and with children with severe behavior disturbances at the MUSC Children’s Day Treatment Program in North Charleston, SC.
