Benjamin King is a physician assistant practicing as a Thermal Injury Specialist in the Burn Unit as MUSC. He has been an advanced practice provider for 5 years, with most of that experience coming from the Emergency Department in North and South Carolina. His education includes a Masters of Medical Science from the Wake Forest School of Medicine Physician Assistant Program. His undergraduate is from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, majoring in History. Prior to becoming a physician assistant, Ben served as a paramedic in North Carolina for 2 years, and as a Special Forces Medical Sergeant in the US Army for 5 years.His current interests include burn management and burn critical care, improving healing outcomes for burn survivors, military and prehospital medical applications, austere medicine, and medical history. He continues to volunteer with several humanitarian global health organizations.
